Kurt J. Konek, CPA
 | With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Iowa State University, Kurt has over 19 years of experience in certified public accounting. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, and serves as Treasurer of the Friends of the Monroe Library. He served as chairman of the Taxation Committee and was a member of the Financial Literacy subcommittee of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kurt is also active with his children’s sports, coaching Little League baseball, soccer, and wrestling. |
Rustin Van Wyk
 | After attending DMACC and Iowa State, Rustin earned his Associates degree in Accounting Specialist. Since graduating, he has over 21 years in accounting and tax preparation. Currently he serves as a board member for Inspirations Preschool and served on the consistory for First Reformed Church. When not in the office, Rusty can be found in the field with his father-in-law. He has two children who are active in baseball, football, and soccer. He enjoys attending their games and coaches little league baseball. |
Hollie Nunnikhoven
 | Hollie earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Financial Services in the Spring of 2007 and a Bachelor's degree on Accounting in the Fall of 2009, both from AIB College of Business. Hollie joined Konek, P.C. in December of 2010. Before Konek P.C., Hollie was an associate financial representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Urbandale for four years and also a marketing and membership director at the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce. Hollie currently sits on the board of directors and finance committee for Imagine Grinnel, a quality of life foundation and is a member of the Young Professionals of Iowa. In her spare time, Hollie enjoys spending time with family & friends. |
Boone Office
Ken Curell, CPA
 | Ken graduated Summa Cum Laude from Drake University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and finance. He has over 19 years of experience in certified public accounting working for various firms including staff accountant for Kernutt, Stokes, Brandt & Co; Chief Financial Officer for Bend Aggregate & Paving Co.; and auditor for Ryan Givens Wenthe. Ken also has 11 years experience owning his own firm Boone, IA. He has served on the Board of Directors for Boone City Parks Foundation, Boone Golf & Country Club, and Boone Rotary Club as Treasurer for 11 years. Currently, Ken serves on the Board of Directors for Genesis Development. In his spare time, Ken can be found on the golf course and traveling. He has been married for 24 years to Cathy and has 2 grown sons, Nathan and Jason. |
Sully Office
Monica Nikkel, CPA
 | In the Spring of 2009, Monica graduated from AIB with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and obtained her CPA license in January 2010. She began working as an accountant for Konek PC in the Spring of 2007 with several years experience in bookkeeping and began working with taxes and accounting after starting. She currently serves on the CPE Committee for the Iowa Society of CPAs and is a member of both the Iowa Society and American Institute of CPAs. Monica, her husband, and daughter have a home in Sully where she enjoys spending time with family and friends. |
